CompTIA certification exams typically feature two active versions of the same exam, allowing for a transition period between older and newer versions. During this transition period, candidates who have prepared for the older exam version can complete their certification without immediately transitioning to the latest version. Selecting one of the active exam versions as the basis for obtaining the certification document is largely a matter of personal preference.
